Problem Note 42992: The Metadata Importer comparison mode in SAS® Data Integration Studio fails to import extended attributes

The first that time you import a metadata model into SAS Data Integration studio or SAS® Management Console, the defined table metadata and extended attributes should import correctly. However, a problem can occur the second and subsequent times that you import the model to append or replace metadata. At these subsequent instances, you must use the Compare import metadata to repository option on the Import Selection page. (This option is available only in SAS Data Integration Studio.) In comparison mode, the extended attributes of new or changed metadata do not import to your SAS table metadata objects.
There is currently no workaround for this problem.
